The main purpose of the cut fraction is to cut the light straight run fraction from atmospheric tower into appropriate narrow fraction or catalytic reforming raffinate for fractionation. Solvent oils are usually refined to improve color, improve stability, reduce corrosivity and toxicity. The main refining methods are alkali washing, clay refining, hydrofining and molecular sieve refining. The content of sulfur and nitrogen, aromatics and unsaturated olefins in common solvent oil products are high, so they have strong taste, high toxicity and deep color. Although it can meet the needs of solubility and economy, it is far from meeting the needs of special applications. China's special solvent oil almost relies on import. The production process of high boiling point aromatic solvent oil is catalytic reforming in refinery. The by-products in the production process are comprehensively utilized to increase its added value. The products include naphthalene, 1,2,3 solvent oil and mesitylene. The distillation range is 178-198 ℃, 189-207 ℃, 206-238 ℃. Solvent oils with low aromatics have high toxicity and environmental pollution. High boiling point solvent oil has low volatility and good solubility. It can replace high toxic toluene and xylene, but it still has toxicity problems. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection in China, especially the limitation of volatile substances, low toxicity, non-toxic, environmentally friendly solvent oil has become the development direction of solvent oil.
